Katie McAdoo
Katie is a dedicated YMCA leader whose more than 30 years of service have left a lasting impact across multiple YMCA associations and the communities they serve. Beginning her career with the YMCA of MEWSA in 1992, Katie served in several leadership roles including Senior Childcare Director, Branch Executive Director, and Associate Advancement Director, where she successfully expanded childcare services from a single location to more than 25 sites, dramatically increasing access and support for families throughout the community. She also served as a Training Director for the YMCA of the USA, helping develop staff and strengthen leadership practices across the YMCA movement nationwide.
Katie later continued her impactful leadership with the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, now known as the YMCA of the Jersey Shore, where she served as Branch Executive Director for Red Bank and Camp Zehnder during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under her leadership, the branch became a vital community resource for food distribution, blood drives, childcare for frontline workers, and vaccine access. Most recently, before her retirement in 2026, Katie returned to serve as an Onboarding Specialist with the YMCA of the Jersey Shore, where she created welcoming and meaningful onboarding experiences that fostered connection, purpose, and belonging for new staff across the association. Known for leading with both strength and kindness, Katie’s extraordinary career reflects a lifelong commitment to youth development, staff empowerment, and community impact.
